The light flag that marks a stand or an entrance.
A beach flag is a banner mounted on a flexible mast, held by a base. Unlike a conventional flag, the fabric stays taut even without wind: the graphic therefore stays readable at all times, which makes it a waymarker as much as a signal.
The fabric is dye-sublimated onto polyester, a process that fixes the ink in the fibre: the graphic does not crack when folded and it washes. The usual shapes are teardrop, sail and feather, each giving a different silhouette from a distance.
