Cut-out lettering

The word cut from the material, fitted letter by letter.

Cut-out lettering is not printed on a panel: it is cut from the material and fixed on its own to the wall. The background stays visible between the letters, and the cast shadow gives the relief. It is the signage of reception halls and carefully finished facades.

Cutting is done on a CNC router in foam PVC, Dibond, acrylic or aluminium depending on the thickness and look wanted. Letters mount flush or on standoffs, which lift them off the wall and deepen the shadow.
