A pavement sign is a double-sided A-board set on the footway during opening hours. Its constraint is not printing but wind: too light a model goes over in the first gust, and one weighted with water or sand holds without being anchored.
The graphic slides into a snap frame, which allows a change without tools, or is applied directly to the panels. Both faces print, since the face seen on the way in rarely carries the same message as the one seen on the way out.
