What is double-sided printing?
Double-sided printing means printing both sides of the same material. On our banners, the front side alone is included in the price. Double-sided printing is an option, billed at €17.00 per m² on banners. It is useful whenever a visual is seen from both sides: hung in the middle of a hall, mounted as a flag, placed over a walkway.
There is a catch. A PVC banner classic banner is not fully opaque. As soon as daylight passes behind it, light travels through the material and the front-side ink shows through by transparency: the two images blend together. That is why double-sided printing is only done properly on blockout banner, a banner with an opaque black core. This black layer, sandwiched between two white faces, blocks light and completely isolates the two printed sides.
When should you choose double-sided printing?
- Flags and hanging graphics, seen from both sides.
- Double-sided 80x200 roll-up banner, readable coming and going.
- Flag-mounted signage, perpendicular to the wall or facade.
As for files, plan on one file per side: the front and the back are prepared separately, even when both graphics are identical. Before printing, the PRINT PROOF shows both sides. Check each one as a full visual in its own right: it is your last review before the banner goes to press.
